The Dark Labyrinth

The Games story takes place in the fictional world of Vanmar. 500 years before the events of the games main story the people who inhabited the surface lived in peace and the natural order remained undisturbed. Then a meteor fell from the sky, this meteor held a powerful dark energy. This dark energy had the power to corrupt anything it touches and before long the worlds inhabitants begin to quarrel and fight in an effort to claim the power for themselves. A young warrior grew concerned over the ongoing conflict; he consulted an oracle deep within the mountains. The oracle prophesizes that he is one of 7 warriors that will have the power to resist the dark power and defeat it. As instructed by the oracle the young warrior seeks out the 6 other chosen ones, together they are able to force the dark power back into the meteor. The 7 chosen ones then study the meteor and learn it’s magic secrets. In order to restore the peace, the different fractions who were fighting are divided into different clans each one lead by one of the 7 chosen warriors, who pass on their knowledge of magic. These 7 clans now live on different corners of the world each one practicing their own form of magic. To give rite of passage to young generations a huge Labyrinth is constructed in the centre of the world to test their skills in magical combat. Once they come of age members of each clan are sent into the labyrinth to find ancient artifacts while surviving traps and monsters to gain rite of passage.

In the present day, the main character is a descendant one of the original chosen ones who must master the labyrinth and retrieve his artifact to prove his worth to his people.
